Wheels are painted black.

Front tires are one size smaller than those in the back.

Steering wheel painted with Tamiya's Racing Wite and I added a Moon decal: 

The doorpanels also recieved a cool decal    (but that's just my 2 cents)

and offcourse a Von Dutch logo  

After painting, I did another dryfit with the chassis • body • pick-up to get an overall view and it looked as if the pick-up bed was to long. So here we go again

Finally I'm back, after a long break (2nd time @ the hospital, long holiday, lack of interest,...)

So I started painting some stuff:

As for the steering mechanism I'm not using the 1/1 reference model. Don't ask me why, I don't know   

Almost everything is scratch-build :

And when all parts come together it looks like this:

I had some problems with my health but I'm back! 

As this is still a "parts-box project", this is a '28 Ford dash I found in my parts-box. The overall shape was good, it only needed to be larger. So it's styrene time again:

And after some sanding:

The dash in place:

The wall behind the seat is also in place now:

A little dry-fit with the seat & the transmission tunnel also:

And a dry-fit with the body:

Last dry-fit with the frontsuspension, just to see if everything is still in place:

Overall, it looks OK 2 me but at this right moment I'm already changing some small on the steering mechanism 

Finally I've found some time 2 post some updates:

1.frontseat

As frontseat I'll be using a backseat commin' from a '32 Ford A sedan

It has no "back" so we'll fix that with some styrene:

2. the "gap" 

As you can see on the reference pic, there's a gap behind the seat:

So of we go:

And a little dry-fit with the seat:

Also according to the 1/1 reference model, I've drilled the small holes into the body

Not much action on my models & my blog 'cause I've been really ill for the last two weeks. But when I recieved the last issue of VW-speed I feel a lot better....

Now this is a verry cool surprise!

I look at my magazines a thousend times a day and so I did with the last VW-speed yesterday. Surprisingly I've missed a second article, wich was dedicated to my blog

Next update will be one comming from the Volksrod again

The front suspension will be a combination of 2 parts:

1. a dropped beam axle, comming from a Ford A sedan:

2. the original Käfer front axle:

As the original front axle will only be used as the base for the dropped axle, I had to cut it up and scratch some support parts:

Now that everything is glued together it looks like this:

When both suspensions are painted I can glue them together and hopefully then you will have a better view of what I'm going for  

After cutting away the wright pieces the sharp edges needed some sanding:

What has a cup of butter to do with scalemodels??

Well........if it's filled with ovencleaner you can remove the old paint 

So this is how the body looks now:

Started something new, a Volksrod! I've always been inspired by those things, especially after seeïng this one:

Please keep in mind that the pic above will be used as reference, so it will absolutelly NOT be an exact copy of it! I'm actaully bilding something like this because there are too many spare parts in my parts-box 

So of we go! This is the thing that will be used, a '56 Oval from Mr. Hobby:

Made some final cuts: fenders, roof & the back are already removed  

Finally finished my Nu Skool Beetle. And actualy it ended up as some kinda Surf Beetle

Me and my bro' recieved some space on the Ultimate Style booth @ the International Tuning Salon last weekend and had an awesome weekend there, also thx to pinstripe artist Senone!

Got the interior finished this weekend. Tryed to keep it simple with a few different colors, some Photo Etched pedals and a steering wheel comming from the Custom scene.

Well, the Beetle was on a hold because of my latest project:

And now I'm back in bussiness with my Nu Skool Beetle!
